ok next story. i felt like whacking myself. these few months, i've been to so many DIY shops to look for some stuff such as lacquer spray and super-fine sandpaper. even HOME-DIY do not have them. so i thought, maybe i can't find them in Singapore. almost gave up when my mom suggested try to go to the hardware store at Keat Hong (near the car and bike workshops + old keat hong camp = if u know where) after collecting the oven. so, we went there. first impression is bad, but i thought, what the heck. so me and my mom went in. the shop looks so shabby and rundown. just like any old untidy and cramped hardware store. i could hardly walk through in between racks. i know i'm HUGE, but it really is tight. but guess what?! sandpaper heaven! one whole rack full of sand papers. i was also surrounded by all sorts of spray cans. i took 1 lacquer and 4 sandpaper (2 X 1000grit + 2 X 1500 grit = whereas HOME-DIY only has 600grit) and spent about $6. so happy! oklah. i know i sound really really crazy, but this is me. anyway, so excited to get results of JAE postings! good luck to everyone else too!
